image of Marta GilbertMarta is a Clinical Psychologist, Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist who has lived in Asia for the past 13 years. Originally from Poland, she lived in France, Hong Kong and Vietnam before moving to Singapore 5 years ago. Moving from country to country with her family for the past 17 years gave her a deep understanding of the expatriate life’s challenges.

She provides individual therapy for adults and teenagers, works with various issues including personal and relationship problems, such as low self-esteem, insomnia, stress and anger management, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, OCD, PTSD, depression and personality disorders.

Marta offers consultations in English, French and Polish.

Her approach is holistic and person-centred, she focuses on the person’s individual characteristics and needs, and integrates various therapeutic strategies and techniques to help the person reach their goals. Her work is influenced by varied approaches including Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Existential, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural.

Marta has obtained a Master in Clinical Psychology from the University of Paris 8 (France) and she holds an Advanced Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from London College of Clinical Hypnosis in Asia (accredited by the University of West London, UK). She also completed Level I and II of Jeffrey Young’s Schema Therapy training, EMDR and Emotional Freedom Technique trainings, and received several workshop certificates in these subjects.

She is a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS), the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) and the EMDR Association of Singapore. She also holds a membership in the Association of Psychotherapists and
Counsellors (Singapore) (APACS) and in the Polish Society of Clinical Psychology.
