Tsao I TingI Ting is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy to youths, adults and families. She has worked with a wide range of issues including mental health issues (e.g., mood and anxiety issues), personality disorders, trauma, suicide/self-harm behaviours, relationship difficulties, and parenting challenges. She has extensive experience in the forensic mental health setting, providing court-mandated assessments and interventions for offending behaviours such as theft, violence, sexual offending behaviours.

I Ting adopts a client-centred approach to therapy, and is trained in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is trained in Psychological First Aid, and has served as a Caring Actions in Response to Emergencies (CARE) officer under the National CARE Management System and Human Emergency Assistance and Response Teams (HEART) team lead in the SGSecure initiative. I Ting prioritises a safe, empathic, and non-judgemental environment for her clients to explore the presenting issues and collaboratively works with her clients to gain new perspectives and skills to effectively overcome the challenges in their lives.

Besides clinical work, I Ting is skilled in providing clinical supervision and currently supervises clinical psychologists and counsellors in training. In her previous position at the Ministry of Social and Family Development, she has developed and implemented psychological programmes for at-risk and in-risk populations. As a scientist-practitioner, she keeps herself updated on the latest psychological research so that her practice is evidence-informed.

Born in Taiwan and having spent most of her growing up years in Singapore, I Ting is fluent both English and Mandarin. She is a registered psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society.
