Pallavi is a compassionate counsellor dedicated to fostering mental well-being. She creates a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment for adolescents, adults, and seniors who are navigating a diverse range of life challenges.
Her primary therapeutic modalities, Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, guide clients in exploring their experiences and understanding the intricate connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. This understanding provides a base for developing effective coping strategies. Pallavi also integrates elements of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to facilitate goal-setting and leverage individual strengths. Her approach is characterized by warmth, empathy, and a commitment to personalized care.
Pallavi has experience supporting clients with concerns such as anxiety, stress, body image issues, low self-esteem, relationship complexities, and workplace dynamics. She has also assisted youths facing academic pressures, major life transitions, and adjustments like transitioning into National Service.
Before dedicating herself to the mental health field, Pallavi accrued over 15 years of experience in the corporate Information Technology sector within multinational and highly regulated environments. This extensive corporate background provided her with firsthand insights into the psychological impact of workplace stress, performance pressures, and the challenges of balancing personal and professional roles. This awareness, coupled with a growing interest in human behaviour and well-being, inspired her purposeful transition into psychology and counselling and underscores her profound commitment to making a meaningful difference in the mental well-being space. Her corporate experience instils strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and organizational discipline, all of which enrich her clinical practice, particularly in guiding clients through complex personal and professional landscapes.
As a mother of two teenagers, Pallavi also brings a personal understanding of the complexities inherent in parenting and adolescent development. She is deeply passionate about supporting parents and families, continuously enhancing her expertise through dedicated parenting coaching programs.
Pallavi is excited to build her practice in Fernhill, dedicating herself fully to helping her clients build resilience, gain fresh insights, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
