Roslina Chai
Executive Doctorate in Business Admin (EDBA), Bachelor of Law (LLB), Postgrad Dip in Management (P.Dip), Bachelor of Arts (BA)
The arc of Roslina’s life’s work, across all domains of her life, is firmly grounded in mastering the science and art of alchemising suffering into flourishing.
More precisely, as a:
Conflict mediator – Roslina is called upon to mediate high-conflict situations (e.g. contractual dispute, employment disputes, divorce, inheritance) where it is critical that the integrity of relationships are safeguarded.
Career transition coach – Roslina journeys with clients seeking to (i) be promoted, (ii) transition into a new industry, or (iii) embark on an entrepreneurial journey, beyond resume review / interview role-play / fundraising presentation review, to discovering how to show up authentically.
Healing & Reconciliation facilitator – Roslina guides clients in the conflicting throes of grief (fresh and raw / old and calcified), guilt, and anger, through a compassionate conversation with the deceased whom they wish to make peace with, on topics such as sexual violation, family violence, affairs, abortion, divorce, secrecy or inheritance.
Roslina’s approach draws primarily from:
Compassion-based frameworks such as Dr. Marshal Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication process, Dr. Paul Gilbert’s compassion-focussed therapy, and the Mahayana Buddhist practice of Lojong.
Applied clinical (neuroscience) research on emotions (Dr. Lisa Feldman Barrett), compassion (Dr. Tania Singer), and perception (Dr. Beau Lotto).
Spiritually-informed consciousness frameworks such as Dr. Susanne Cook-Greuter, Dr. Margaret Wheatley, and Ken Wilber.
Research-based culture agility frameworks such Dr. Fons Trompenaars which features an explicit reconciliation focus.
Trauma informed field work in the areas of sexual violence, family violence, and workplace harassment.
Having lived, worked, and studied in 3 continents, Singapore has been home for Roslina and her multi-cultural multi-generational family since 2010. Woven into the fabric of Roslina’s weekly cadence is tai-chi, improv acting, curating intimate meals, and holding space for soulful conversations; whilst grounding the emergence of each day for Roslina is the sanctity of family meals, nature bathing, pranayama, and meditation.
